No better place to spend a wet miserable Sunday afternoon than inside a warm and cosy trendy New Farm restaurant.
It wasn’t long before our shared entree made its way out – hot and spicy buffalo wings lived up to the mark – “hot and spicy”, which helped our first drinks go down so much easier.
Our second drink came just in time to perfectly accompany our shared main – the “Big Rib Combo” comprising of pulled pork, BBQ beef ribs, pork belly and American slaw served atop a bed of Cajun spiced chips. We struggled through – not because of the lack of taste or quality but due to the large portion size. But we took our time and together with a Nevada Pale Ale it was once again a perfect combination.
Eating a traditional American smoked platter, drinking a Nevada Pale Ale, being served by a US expat you would swear you were in the States, however this star spangled experience wasn’t in New York but better still New Farm Brisbane.
The Smoke @ New Farm knows how to smoke meat and if you are a vegetarian you would be bitterly disappointed. And if you are a carnivore you will be back.
I would definitely recommend this meat lovers restaurant for a casual dining experience – my only recommendation would be sit inside, because if the service matched the quality of food this would be a near perfect experience.
